Its 12:50AM right now and I can't sleep The procedure went ok. I was a nervous
wreck yes and they gave me a sedative so I would calm down. Then they
instead of going thru the groin went in like 3 inches down my right
arms from my arm pit. I felt the cath all the way till it got to around
the area of my right breast. Then I didn't feel it anymore. When the
doc released the filter I felt a little twinge and that was it. Less
then what you feel when you get your blood drawn. Which by the way they
are back to doing around the clock on me. UGH! Just got work up to
getting stuck again. OH JOY!
Anyway the blood thinners are starting to work. My blood has to be
at whats is called therapeutic levels. I made the one helprin level
yesterday morning. The coumadin level is a lot more difficult
apparently and my blood wants to be difficult. He wants me at just
under 3 before he will release me. And it has taken me all this time
since actually Wednesday when I had my first dose, to get this far and
I was at 1.5 today on that one. The doctor said if it continues to come
up I can go home Thursday or Friday yes. But not till I am at that
level for the coumadin.
I'm really tired and really sore right now. Didn't realise waiting
and getting starved to death could be so tiring. LOL. I had company
earlier and actually went to sleep around 830 - 9 tonight. Now just got
woke up again by the house vampire. Its a wonder anyone gets any rest
around here I tell ya. If they are not waking you to take your blood
they are waking you to take your vitals. If its not you they are
turning on all the lights to get your room mates vitals or blood. Ya
just can't win. I just can't wait to go home and be miserable in my own
bed. At least I will actually get some uninterrupted sleep and be
comfortable. GEEZE!
I will write tomorrow on what the procedure actually was. I can
tell you it was nothing that I expected or read about online. Total
difference. Tell you tomorrow when I get up again. Gnight all
